Acer stands a chance of turning its business operation from the red into profitability in the fourth quarter of 2011, according to company chairman JT Wang.

Acer saw the overall inventory level in Europe in the third quarter significantly decrease on quarter, Wang indicated.

In response to the establishment of a joint venture by Compal Electronics - Acer's largest ODM maker - and China-based vendor Lenovo, Wang emphasized that Acer will not set up joint ventures with its ODM partners.
