Despite seeing the PC market experiencing decline, and economies of the US and Europe are weakening, Asustek Computer still expects its notebook shipments in the US to grow 30% in 2012, according to Asustek US president Steven Chang.

Chang pointed out that Best Buy is the company's first retail channel partner in the US, and the company added Office Depot as its second partner in 2011. In 2012, Asustek will add two new partners – Walmart and Staples – to help the company achieve its shipment goals for the US.

As for the enterprise market, since users in the market require a longer time to accept products from a new brand; therefore, Asustek is unlikely to achieve an obvious growth in performance in the short term.

For January, due to the Lunar New Year holidays and issues with hard drive supplies, Asustek expects its consolidated revenues for the month to drop 25% on month.
