Hewlett-Packard (HP) has been working on a long-term project named Project Moonshot, with one of the plans to develop low-power server products that adopt ARM-based processors, according to sources from server players, adding that HP's ARM-based server is expected to be available for some specific clients to start testing in the second quarter of 2012.

In addition to ARM-based processors, Project Moonshot will also adopt Intel's Atom processors or other processor solutions to develop server products in the future, the sources noted.
