NAND flash contract prices trending down

Jessie Shen, DIGITIMES

Having engaged in the price negotiations for almost two months, NAND flash buyers and sellers have finally come up with a decision agreeing downward adjustments in contract prices for the second half of July.

According to DRAMeXchange, late July contract prices for mainstream 32Gb MLC chips averaged US$4.37, slipping 9.9%. Prices for same-density TLC NAND were also down about 4% to US$4.30 on average in the second half of July.

Average prices for high-density 64Gb MLC declined by a larger 13% in the second half of July, while those for lower-density 16Gb and 8Gb chips fell 12% and 26%, respectively, data compiled by DRAMeXchange show.
