KHAN Heatless Adsorption Dryer

  • The principle of the Heatless Adsorption Dryer:
     
    The drying way of heatless adsorption dryer is utilizing the characters of the chemical adsorbents which would adsorb water under various pressures and temperatures. After absorbing water, it will utilize the variation of pressure and temperature to regenerate as well as reuse. The heatless adsorption dryer was designed. The normal adsorbents are silica gel, alumina, and molecular sieve. The character of these kinds of adsorbents is the same. Their water adsorption capacity falls while the temperature rises, and the water adsorption capacity falls while the pressure falls. Because of this, the adsorption dryers can be classified into two major types – heatless and heated. The heatless dryer utilizes the variation of air pressure, making the adsorbents dry and regenerate; the heated dryer utilizes the variation of air temperature, results in water elimination and regeneration.
     
    Due to the feature of absorbents, it is designed that there are two adsorption vessels in the adsorption dryer and each vessel is filled with adsorbents. When the left vessel starts adsorbing water under high pressure, the right vessel will be under low pressure and start regenerating. When the left vessel becomes saturated, the bottom valve of the right vessel will close and the pressure of compressed air inside will start increasing. When the pressures inside the two vessels are equal to each other, the bottom valve of the left vessel will open and then release the pressure. The inlet air goes into the right vessel through the 3 way valve. The right vessel starts absorbing water and simultaneously the regeneration will occur in the left vessel. The entire process will repeat itself to continuously dry the compressed air. Please see the below picture.
     
     
     

     
    Features:
     
    1. The desiccant will not disintegrate when being wetted, with high adsorption capacity and long lifespan.
    2. Mounted with pressure gauge, easy to see.
    3. Stainless steel cylinder valve, which is durable and doesn’t easily break down.
    4. The air source on control system adopts dried and filtered air to ensure the valve flexibility and the maximum lifespan.
    5. The air regeneration pipes are equipped with a flow meter which data can be read easily, optional dewpoint hygrometer can ensure the air quality and lower the waste of regeneration air.
    6. Have non-metal conical valve or on way butterfly valve with stainless steel spring, good tightness, low air loss, which can bear the vibration occurred while the air volume and temperature varies during operation.
    7. Low noise when the air was exhausted during regeneration.
    8. Connecting the piping behind the air inlet valve with specially made ring clamp, which can be easily disassembled and obtain good air tightness. Also, it can slightly compensate the thermal expansion and cold contraction in the piping.
    9. Equipped with flow meter at the outlet. The margin of error is +/- 5%. The meter can be easily read, user can control the flow, the operating cost, and know the efficiency of air compressor.
